Cassandra Backler
Cassandra first worked with State Theatre as Assistant Director on Honk If You Are Jesus. In 2011 she was Design Associate with the Company, during which time she worked on a variety of projects including her strikingly imaginative set design for our production of The Zoo Story, which toured South Australia to great acclaim.
Cassandra was a very gifted artist and a rare gem in our theatre family.
Our hearts go out to her family, and to her partner, Ben. Thank you, Cassandra, for your courage, your inspiration, and your many gifts. You will be greatly missed.
