State Theatre Company of South Australia exists to create great theatre that is stunning, entertaining and challenging, but we cannot do this alone. In fact, our continued ability to give back through the magic of live theatre depends upon the generous support that we receive from you. Government funding only covers 50% of our operational expenses each year. Therefore every donation – great or small – has a real impact on the work that we do.
When you support State Theatre Company your generous contribution ensures that we can continue to:
- Produce and present high quality entertaining theatre for South Australians.
- Provide valuable professional development and learning experiences for the next generation of South Australian artists and theatre practitioners.
- Commission new Australian works.
- Provide South Australian teachers and students with opportunities to deepen their understanding and enjoyment of the arts through live performances, tailored workshops and work experience programs.
- Provide all South Australians with the ability to access the magic of live theatre through our regional touring program.
- Provide opportunities for economically disadvantaged members of our community to attend State Theatre Company performances.
- Deliver audio described and captioned performances for those theatre lovers who experience vision or hearing impairments so they can continue experiencing the magic of live theatre.
- All donations of $2 or more are fully tax-deductible and a receipt will be issued for these contributions.
- Donations of $250 or more receive acknowledgement (unless you would prefer to remain anonymous) in State Theatre Company production programs and our Annual Report.
- Donations of $1000 or more receive acknowledgement (unless you would prefer to remain anonymous) on the Donors Board permanently displayed in the Dunstan Playhouse Foyer.

Share the magic of live theatre - THEATRE OF LIFE
Program partner
Anyone who attends the theatre understands the magic that happens at a live performance. There's nothing else like it and only the audience knows, because they were there.
Many in our community are unable to access this experience for a number of reasons, which is why Anglicare SA and State Theatre Company have joined forces and developed a new program called Theatre of Life. Theatre of Life, through Anglicare's Positive Ageing program will strengthen connections in the community, assisting those who are disadvantaged as well as addressing the financial hardship faced by older people by providing theatre tickets and the opportunity to enjoy the magic of live theatre. We invite you to share your love of the theatre by adding the cost of a ticket or even a subscription to your booking form.
